Anthropic has just shown where frontier AI is heading next. The company has released Claude Fable 5, its most powerful public model so far, but it has not fully opened up Claude Mythos, the model that triggered serious concern because of its advanced cybersecurity capabilities.

Earlier this year, Mythos was kept behind restricted access through Project Glasswing, where selected partners used it to find and fix high-risk software vulnerabilities. That is powerful for defenders. But in the wrong hands, similar capability could help attackers move faster, too.

Image source (Anthropic): Results of running cyber evaluations,3 with Fable 5 in a mode that blocks responses rather than falling back to Opus 4.8. Evaluations did not involve attempts to evade safeguards.

AI is no longer just about better chatbots or agentic work. The most advanced models are now entering controlled-release territory, where some capabilities are public, some are restricted, and some may only be available to trusted partners, governments or enterprise users.

For business leaders, the message is simple: The next phase of AI will be about access, control and risk, not just adoption.

The first wave was about using AI quickly. The next wave will be about using it safely, strategically and with proper governance.

The Briefing: What Else You Need to Know

Google Rents AI Compute From SpaceX

Google has signed a multi-year deal to rent AI computing capacity from SpaceX, reportedly worth $920 million per month from October 2026 to June 2029. The agreement gives Google access to around 110,000 Nvidia GPUs as demand for AI infrastructure keeps rising.

AI advantage is no longer just about better models. It is about who can secure the chips, power and data centre capacity to run them.

Traditional Google Rankings Are Splitting From AI Citations

Ranking on page one of Google no longer guarantees you’ll be picked up by Google’s AI answers.

Ahrefs found that only 38% of AI Overview citations came from pages already ranking in Google’s top 10, down from 76% in an earlier study.

That is a big shift. Businesses now need content that is not just rankable, but easy for AI to understand, trust, extract and cite.

Meta Could Overtake Google in Digital Ad Revenue

Meta is forecast to overtake Google in global digital ad revenue in 2026, according to Emarketer. This shows how discovery is changing.

Marketing spend is moving from search-led intent capture toward algorithmic demand creation across feeds, Reels, messaging and AI-powered ad systems.

For founders and CMOs, the question is simple: are your budgets still built for the old discovery model?

Google Search Console Makes AI Visibility Measurable

Google has added dedicated Search Console reporting for generative AI features, including AI Overviews, AI Mode and AI-powered experiences in Discover.

Until now, brands were mostly guessing whether they appeared inside AI-generated search results. Now they can start measuring it. For SEO teams, publishers and founders, AI visibility is becoming a real performance metric, not just a theory people talk about on LinkedIn.

Anthropic Is Winning More Enterprise LLM Spend

Menlo Ventures estimates that Anthropic captured 40% of enterprise LLM spend in 2025, ahead of OpenAI at 27%.

Enterprise AI buyers are choosing what feels safer, more reliable and easier to fit into business workflows. For B2B companies, this means Claude may increasingly shape how customers research, buy, automate and integrate AI into their teams.

Google Search Is Becoming Multimodal

Google’s AI-powered Search box can now understand text, images, files, videos and even Chrome tabs as inputs.

That changes how people discover products, services and answers. Buyers may upload a screenshot, compare documents or ask questions based on what is already open in their browser. For businesses, search optimisation now has to think beyond keywords and web pages.

The Shift - The Three Layers of AI Visibility

Till now, most businesses have built around layer 1 of the web search engine.

Layer 1: Traditional Search.

People search. People click. People compare. People decide. That matters, but it is no longer the whole game.

Layer 2: AI search.

A buyer asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity for a recommendation, and AI creates the shortlist. That shortlist may be the only consideration set. If your business is not included, you may never get seen.

Layer 3: Agentic Buying.

This is where AI agents do not just search. They compare, choose and buy inside AI-powered workflows, sometimes without sending the buyer to your website at all.

That changes what visibility means.

GEO is not about ranking first for a keyword. It is about being selected, cited and trusted inside AI-generated answers. AI looks for clear entities, strong context, useful evidence and content it can easily reuse. Definitions, comparisons, checklists, pricing explanations, mistakes and practical playbooks all become answer assets.

The businesses that win this shift will be the ones making their expertise easier for AI to understand, verify and recommend.

The Big Question for Businesses

Five of the biggest names in AI - Sam Altman, Jensen Huang, Sundar Pichai, Satya Nadella and Elon Musk- are all describing the same shift in different ways.

AI is moving from standalone models to systems, infrastructure and agents. For marketers, that changes the rules. The old question was: “Can people find us on Google?” The new question is: “Can AI agents find, trust, cite and recommend us when they are doing the research for a buyer?”

This is important because buyers may not always visit your website first. They may ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or another AI assistant to compare options, shortlist providers or explain who is best in a category.

If your brand is not structured for AI visibility, you may be invisible before the buyer even starts looking properly.

What We’re Working On

1. We Ran 300 AI Prompts Across 10 Industries. Here’s What We Found.

When someone needs a lawyer, accountant, cybersecurity firm, marketing agency or IT support provider today, there is a growing chance they do not start with Google. They ask AI.

ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity are already becoming the first place buyers go when they want a shortlist, a recommendation or a comparison. So we wanted to know: when that happens, which companies are actually being recommended?

To find out, we built a monthly research project. Our team wrote 10 real buyer questions for 10 of the industries we work in.

  1. Law Firms

  2. Accountants / Fractional CFO Firms

  3. Cyber Security Firms

  4. Recruitment Agencies / Executive Search Firms

  5. Marketing Agencies

  6. FX / Currency Brokers

  7. MSPs / IT Support Companies

  8. Bespoke Experiential Travel Providers

  9. Construction Suppliers / Manufacturers

  10. Solar / Renewable Energy Firms

We then ran those questions through ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity and recorded every company name each AI mentioned.

That means:

  • 300 prompts

  • 10 industries

  • 3 AI platforms

  • Every company named

  • Every recommendation tracked

The early findings are already interesting.

The three AIs do not always agree. Some firms appear across all three platforms. Others only show up in one. In some sectors, three or four companies absorb most of the recommendations while everyone else barely registers. We also found that being well-known does not always mean being recommended. Several recognisable names did not appear at all.

Right now, AI answers are becoming part of the buyer journey. If a potential customer asks an AI for the best firms in your sector, your website ranking is only part of the story. What matters is whether the AI understands, trusts and names your business.

The full results are now live, including every question we asked, every company, each AI named and how often the leading firms appeared. (All 10 blog links are included at the end of this article.)

2. The Gate Project: Who Gets Access to the AI Economy?

Behind every AI workflow, automation system, and “future of work” prediction, there is a bigger question: who actually gets access to this new economy?

For many talented people, the problem is not ambition. It is access. That is why the GATE Project exists.

Starting in Nigeria and English-speaking Africa, we train people in the practical skills modern businesses need now: AI automation, GEO, digital marketing, sales, admin, and business support. The aim is simple: turn potential into capability, and capability into real-world opportunity.

The first five interns have already been trained and placed into businesses. And they are already showing what happens when the right training meets real-world opportunity.

From supporting end-to-end automation workflows to helping businesses reduce repetitive manual tasks, GATE interns are beginning to make a practical difference inside the companies they work with. They are gaining confidence, building commercial experience, and proving that talent does not need to be local to be valuable; it needs to be trained, supported, and given the chance to contribute.

For businesses, the model creates a genuine win-win: AI-ready support for practical tasks, paired with the opportunity to mentor someone into a long-term professional future.

This is the social impact side of Tenacious AI: not just talking about the future of work, but helping more people step into it.

3. Answer Architect: Find out if AI can actually recommend your business.

Your next customer may never visit your website.

They may ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity who to trust, and only speak to the companies AI puts on the shortlist. That is the problem Answer Architect is built to solve.

Enter your website URL and get a free AI Visibility Score showing whether your business appears inside AI-generated answers, how clearly AI understands what you do, and what needs to change so you can be found, trusted and recommended when buyers ask for help.

For subscribers, Answer Architect goes deeper. It helps you track the prompts that matter, monitor where you are cited, see which AI models mention you, generate citation-ready blog content, find listicles to get featured in, and receive weekly visibility reports showing what is working and what to fix next.

Final Takeaway

The first wave of AI adoption was about using tools quickly. The next wave is about using AI safely, strategically and visibly.

The most advanced AI systems are entering a phase of controlled access. Search is becoming AI-generated and multimodal. Buyers are starting to ask AI for recommendations before they visit websites. And visibility is moving from rankings to citations, shortlists and agentic decisions.

The businesses that move first will not only ask: “How do we use AI?”

They will ask: “Can AI find, trust and recommend us?”
